What do I need on game day?

The home coach needs to contact the opposing coach by the Tuesday evening, before your home game, each week.

Below is a list of documents which you will need to have at each game, per the 2013-2014 PA West rules book:

Coaches/Managers will provide the following items to the referee:
  1. Original validated roster.
  2. Player passes for all players who are present and for up to three (3) coaches/managers.  Players/coaches arriving late must give their passes to the referee/assistant referee before they can enter the game/technical area. *
  3. Two (2) properly completed game day rosters.  How do I print the game day roster?
  4. No official league game shall be played without presentation of the above items.
  5. If you're the home coach, you need payment for the referees.

*Player passes must be printed on official PA West card-stock.

How do I become a PA West Referee?

Below is a list of steps that need to be taken in order for you to become a PA West referee.
  1. Using the URL address below, register and pay for the one day Grade 8 referee course of your choice.  The Bedford County Futbol Club can reimburse you for the certification (please contact me prior to registration, we can only reimburse a limited number of candidates and this will need the board's approval).
  2. Review the video clips concerning the Laws of the Game.
  3. Successfully complete the on-line pre-test.
  4. All  three steps above must be completed at least one week prior to the selected and required class of attendance.
  5. Attend the one day eight hour class at the selected location for additional instruction and to take the official certification test.
A passing score of 75 percent is required.

What PA West teams are available?

This may be different each year.  There is a list of current teams at www.bedfordcountyfutbolclub.com.

If you would like to play, you have 3 options:
  1. Contact the coach of the team you would like to play on.
  2. Contact Barrett Schrock (bedfordcountyfc@gmail.com) and he will forward your information to the appropriate coach.
  3. You parent may create a team, if approved by the league.  New teams cannot overlap with existing teams unless there are enough players to support both teams.  Contact Barrett Schrock for more information.
